After breakfast on school days, Lilly takes Z and Daisy into Zac's room and plays with them while I finish up dishes, iron clothes, and pack lunches. She does this all on her own and I think she even looks forward to it. While I am working on my morning chores, I always hear laughter coming from his room. I just love to see and hear this bonding between brother and sister.

Lilly "won" this giant slinky at Chucky Cheese yesterday with her grandma and grandpa. Zac of course has decided that it is his toy now and has been playing with it all day. Luckily, his sister shares well!

While Lilly was at school, Zac and I packed up the car for their weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's. Z loves to be in the garage and seemed especially happy to be in the back of the car with all the bags. I guess everyone enjoys a weekend away from home!

Living in Minnesota means you are cooped up for the good part of 5 months - unless of course you love winter sports. Well I don't really love winter sports - unless watching them on TV - and I have a nine-month old who probably shouldn't be out in sub-zero temperatures. Z loves to watch out the window and see the cars go by. Poor little guy barely knows there is a world outside the walls of our house. Winter hasn't bothered me too much this year, but I am anxious to play out in the yard with Z. It'll be a whole new world for him to explore.
